- Session: A session serves as a temporary identity for isolated actions such as a payment or API request. Session keys are randomly generated and expire immediately after use, limiting any damage if compromised.
If a session key is exposed, it affects only that single interaction. If an agent key is compromised, the agent remains restricted by the policies defined by the user. This layered approach provides strong protection while each action also contributes to a network-wide reputation layer that strengthens trust.
Payment Rails
Kite introduces payment infrastructure designed specifically for AI agents, using state channels to support fast, efficient transfers. Agents can transact directly through secure off-chain channels without relying on numerous intermediaries.
Only the opening and closing of a channel are recorded on-chain. All other transactions occur instantly between the participants. This structure makes frequent microtransactions feasible, enabling agents to pay for services, access data, and exchange value in a transparent, scalable way.
